This policy explains what personal data Signalst collects, why we collect it, how we use it, and your rights under UK data protection law including the UK GDPR.
Signalst is the data controller for the purposes of this policy. If you have questions about how we handle your data, contact us at hello@signalst.co.uk.
We collect personal data in two contexts only.
When you request the free diagnostic guide. We collect your first name and work email address via our email capture form. We use this to send you a single email containing your download link. With your consent, we may also send occasional updates about Signalst, you can unsubscribe from these at any time using the link in any email we send. We do not sell or share this data with third parties for marketing purposes.
When you purchase a product. Your purchase is processed by Stripe, our payment processor. We receive confirmation of your purchase and your email address in order to fulfil your order and provide support. Stripe handles payment card data directly and we do not see or store it. Stripe's own privacy policy applies to data they process: stripe.com/gb/privacy.
This website uses two tracking tools:
Google Analytics 4 (GA4). We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use this site, pages visited, time on site, and general traffic patterns. We run GA4 in cookieless mode (client_storage: none) with IP anonymisation enabled, meaning no cookies are set and no persistent identifiers are stored. Aggregate traffic data is sent to Google's servers. Because no cookies are used, this does not require consent under UK GDPR.
Microsoft Advertising UET tag. This tag loads a script from Microsoft's servers (bat.bing.net) and allows us to measure whether visits to this site result from our Microsoft Advertising campaigns. The tag is configured with ad storage set to denied by default, meaning no advertising cookies are set unless you have consented.
Our email platform (Kit, formerly ConvertKit) may set a cookie when you interact with our email capture form. This is used to prevent duplicate submissions and is not used for advertising purposes.
For diagnostic guide requests: we process your data on the basis of your consent, given when you submit the form. You can withdraw consent at any time by unsubscribing.
For kit purchases: we process your data on the basis of contractual necessity, we need your email address to deliver the product you have purchased and to provide order-related support.
Email list subscribers: we retain your data for as long as you remain subscribed. When you unsubscribe, your data is removed from our active list. You can request full deletion at any time by emailing us.
Purchase records: we retain order data for seven years to comply with HMRC requirements for financial records.
Under UK GDPR you have the right to:
To exercise any of these rights, email hello@signalst.co.uk. We will respond within 30 days.
We take reasonable steps to protect your data. Our website is served over HTTPS. Email data is held by Kit (ConvertKit), which is SOC 2 compliant. Purchase data is handled by Stripe, which is PCI DSS compliant.
We use the following third-party services that may process personal data on our behalf:
We may update this policy when our services change. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised. Material changes will be communicated to active subscribers by email.
